Eastern Michigan has found their next head coach. Drake head coach Chris Creighton will be named the new head coach of Eastern Michigan.

As first reported by to Des Moines Register and later announced by the university in a press release, Creighton has accepted an offer to be named the next head coach of the MAC program. He will leave behind a Drake team that went 6-5 this season and won a share of the Pioneer Football League championship the last two years. Creighton owns a career record of 134-41 with jobs in the NAIA, Division 3 and the FCS. He has also played football in Sweden and taken Creighton’s football team on a rare trip overseas to play in the 2011 Kilimanjaro Bowl Africa against a team of college football all-stars from Mexico.

Creighton will have plenty of work to do. Eastern Michigan has gone 2-10 each of the past two seasons and has not had a winning season since 1990.
