Cincinnati loses another starting lineman to injury

During the regular-season finale against Louisville, starting right guard Sam Longo fractured an ankle and was lost for the postseason. Unfortunately, another lower-leg injury to the starter on the other side of the interior of the Bearcats line has been lost as well.

Starting left guard Austen Bujnoch will not play in Saturday’s Belk Bowl against North Carolina because of a lingering foot injury. Bujnoch (pictured, No. 76)recently underwent surgery to repair the injury, which cost the senior three games earlier this season.

Prior to the injury, Bujnoch had started 32 straight games at right guard. For his career, Bujnoch started all 35 of the games in which he played for the Bearcats.

Following the 2012 season, Bujnoch was named first-team All-Big East.
