Ohio State DE Noah Spence dealing with ‘issues,’ may not play in Orange Bowl

Ohio State defensive end Noah Spence did not fly with his team to South Florida to prepare for the Orange Bowl, as he was left behind to deal with ‘issues’, according to several media reports.

"[Spence] didn’t fly down with us,” Urban Meyer told reporters after the team’s flight landed. “He’s working through some personal issues at home.”

Meyer didn’t provide any details on what issues Spence was dealing with, but he did say there was a chance that the sophomore would play in the Orange Bowl against Clemson.

Spence leads the Buckeye defensive line with 7.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss.
