LSU loses underclassman DT Johnson to NFL Draft, are more on the way?

During a busy day for underclassmen declaring early for the NFL Draft, LSU defensive tackle Anthony Johnson added his name to the draft pool. Johnson made the decision official on Twitter.

“These last three years at LSU have been good to me, but I have made the decision to enter the 2014 NFL draft,” Johnson said on Twitter.

This season Johnson was LSU’s leader in tackles for a loss with nine. Heading in to the NFL Draft Johnson is considered one of the top defensive tackles available in the NFL Draft. He is expected to participate and perform well in the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine, an event that should solidify a decent draft expectation for him later in the spring.

There could be more departures coming for LSU in the coming days. Six underclassmen are still left to make a decision on their playing future, according to NFL.com. Among those players mulling their decisions are running back Jeremy Hill, receivers Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry.
