Georgia Tech to get offensive spark with Myles Autry

Georgia Tech’s offense may be looking to spice things up a bit. Georgia Tech received the commitment of athlete Myles Autry on National Signing Day. Autry chose Georgia Tech over defending BCS and aCC champion Florida State just moments after his high school teammate Lorenzo Carter announced he will sign with Georgia.

Autry had been recruited for his versatility on a roster. He can play on offense as wide receiver, defense as a defensive back or on special teams. During his press conference and announcement Autry suggested Georgia Tech had been talking to him about giving him a chance to play on offense, which would give him a chance to play and contribute alongside his brother, wide receiver Anthony Autry. The younger Autry is a three-star wide receiver according to Rivals. For Georgia Tech, Autry is the final piece of the puzzle for the Class of 2014.

Autry made an official visit to Georgia Tech in late January and followed that up with an official visit to Florida State. In the end, the chance to play with his brother proved to be too much of a good opportunity. A chance to help give Georgia Tech’s offense some new looks should also be something to look forward to.
