Oklahoma is on their way to the top recruiting class in the Big 12. After already putting together one of the top classes in the nation once again, the Sooners added four-star wide receiver Miciah Quick to the Class fo 2014 late Wednesday afternoon.
Quick had long been favored to end up with the Sooners by some. He made an official visit to Norman back in October, a month before visiting Alabama. He also made recruiting visits to Notre Dame and California. With Quick the Sooners are adding the fourth best wide receiver in the country and the seventh top player in the state of Oklahoma according to Rivals. Quick is also a top 100 player. For Oklahoma to pluck that kind of talent out of Fresno and keep him away from any potential Pac 12 recruiting competition is pretty significant, although it appeared staying in the Pac 12 was not materializing as a possibility for Quick despite having offers from Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Oklahoma is adding three other wide receivers in the Class of 2014. Quick will be joined by four-star receivers Dallis Todd, another California import for the Sooners, and Mark Andrews from Arizona. The Sooners also add three-star Jeffery Mead from Tulsa, which means the Sooners are locked and loaded at receiver for years to come if all goes according to plan. In the Big 12, wide receivers are key and can prove to be the difference between a Big 12 contender and a Big 12 pretender. Oklahoma has generally done well with their receivers, and this recruiting class looks stacked.
