UCLA hires Mike Tuiasosopo to coach LBs

UCLA head coach Jim Mora completed his coaching staff on Tuesday, hiring Mike Tuiasosopo to coach the Bruin linebackers, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Tuiasosopo spent the past two seasons coaching the defensive line for Colorado. Before that he filled the same role at Arizona from 2004-2010. He will also coach the special teams for UCLA.

He replaces Jeff Ulbrich, who moved up to become the Bruins’ defensive coordinator.

And, yes, he’s related to all the other football Tuiasosopos out there, including former UCLA All-American Manu, former USC lineman Titus and former Washington and Oakland Raiders quarterback (and now USC assistant) Marques.
