Tony Dungy’s son moving on from Oregon to USF

Last year, Tony Dungy was part of the process that brought Willie Taggart to USF as its head football coach. Now, the son of the former NFL coach and current NBC football analyst has decided to join that same program for his final season of collegiate eligibility.

The high school coach of Eric Dungy confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times late this past week that his former player has decided to transfer from Oregon to the Bulls. The wide receiver from Tampa Plant High School had an offer from, among others, USF before signing with the Ducks in February of 2010.

As the younger Dungy will graduate from UO in May, he will be eligible to play for USF immediately in 2014.

After catching five passes the first four games of the 2013 season, Dungy didn’t record a single reception the remainder of the year.
