The latest incident to trigger a resetting of the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker is a rather serious one.
According to the Waco Tribune, Baylor offensive lineman Jacob Kyle was one of three men arrested and charged following an incident this past May at a place in Waco called BSR Cable Park. As for Kyle, the 19-year-old lineman was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
To further drive home the point of how serious the incident was, Kyle was forced to post a $100,000 bond to earn his release.
The other two individuals arrested and charged were Kyle’s 25-year-old brother and a 42-year-old business owner. Those two were also charged with one count each of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
No details of what actually led to the charges were released. Head coach Art Briles is aware of the situation, but the school has thus far declined to discuss the player’s status with the team.
Kyle took a redshirt as a true freshman last season.
