Jimbo Fisher expects Rashad Greene to play against Syracuse

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher believes the Seminoles’ top receiver, senior Rashad Greene, is on track to play this weekend against the Syracuse Orange.

Greene suffered a concussion last week against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. While Florida State’s head coach believes Green will play, the wide receiver has yet to be fully cleared.

Greene leads Florida State’s receivers in receptions and yardage by a wide margin. The senior’s 38 receptions are 21 more than anyone else on the roster, while his 576 receiving yards are 336 more than quarterback Jameis Winston‘s next favorite target.

Winston should be able to find open receivers against the Orange’s 70th-ranked pass defense, but the possible inclusion of Greene will make the offense operate far more smoothly.

The Seminoles’ top rusher and starting center won’t be in the lineup, though.
