No. 24 Texas A&M leads Missouri 13-6 after soggy first half

Considering the events going on between the hedges right now, this is shaping up to be a bad Saturday night for Gary Pinkel and Missouri.

The Tigers trail No. 24 Texas A&M 13-6 through one half at a rain-soaked Kyle Field in College Station.

Though Missouri presently sits alone in first place in the SEC East, a Tigers loss combined with a Georgia win will clinch the division for the Bulldogs.

Missouri was driving late in the half with a chance of taking the lead until Maty Mauk was intercepted by Armani Watts, who returned it 36 yards to the A&M 48, and four Kyle Allen completions later Josh Lambo knocked in a 31-yard field goal to give Texas A&M its 13-6 edge.

The only touchdown of the half came on a 31-yard strike from Allen to Josh Reynolds at the 9:40 mark of the second quarter. Missouri had a golden opportunity to tie the game on the ensuing possession with a 1st-and-goal at the 2, but three penalties in as many plays found Andrew Baggett trying a 35-yard field goal.

Allen has followed up his outstanding Auburn performance with a so-so first half, completing 11-of-19 passes for 105 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Mauk has hit 11-of-21 throws for 131 yards and a pick.

Missouri will have the ball to open the second half.
