No Trevor Knight, no problem for Oklahoma.
Playing its second straight game (and change) with Cody Thomas in place of Knight, No. 20 Oklahoma has again turned to Samaje Perine and its powerful running game to build a 28-14 halftime lead over Oklahoma State.
Perine has picked up where he left off from his record-breaking performance against Kansas, rushing 19 times for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, eight Sooners have combined to rush 29 times for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
Thomas has completed all six of his passes for 86 yards and a touchdown, but the MVP of the first half might be fullback Aaron Ripkowski. The senior has made the most of his two touches on senior day, rushing once for a one-yard touchdown and catching one pass for a two-yard score, carrying a handful of Cowboys into the end zone with him.
Mason Rudolph has played well for Oklahoma State, hitting 10-of-15 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. His 39-yard scoring strike to Brandon Sheperd brought the Pokes within 14-14 with 9:24 to go in the half, but Oklahoma added two straight scores to pull away for its halftime lead.
Oklahoma State will receive the ball to open the second half.
