Following weeks of rumors, Iowa’s Jake Rudock to visit Michigan

What started up as a message board rumor a few weeks back appears to be gaining some serious traction. Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock is ready to transfer and Michigan appears to be in the mix.

Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports reported via Twitter Rudock will be visiting Michigan next week. Since the rumors of Rudock transferring were first reported, Michigan has been the school believed to be the destination. As a graduate transfer, Rudock will be eligible to play right away this fall. Whether he would be Jim Harbaugh‘s top choice as starting quarterback is unknown, but if nothing else Rudock would bring some experience to the Wolverines.

Rudock played in 12 games for Iowa in 2014, completing 61.7 percent of his passes for 2,436 yards and 16 touchdowns to five interceptions. That followed up a 2013 season that included 2,383 yards and 18 passing touchdowns with five additional rushing touchdowns.

News of Rudock potentially transferring surfaced in late February, with Iowa site Black Heart Gold Pants compiling various blurbs to make sense of the discussion.
