Arizona losing WR Kaelin DeBoskie to transfer

Fortunately for Arizona, the position a transferring player plays also happens to be arguably the deepest unit on the squad.

According to the Arizona Republic, Kaelin DeBoskie has decided to transfer out of the UA football program and continue his playing career elsewhere. While the school has yet to announce or confirm the departure, his name is no longer listed on the Wildcats’ official online roster.

While no reason for the departure was given, it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure out that the depth at wide receiver played a significant role in the decision.

A three-star member of UA’s 2013 recruiting class, DeBoskie was rated as the No. 15 player at any position in the state of Arizona by Rivals.com. Because of a hamstring issue that cropped up in summer camp, DeBoskie took a redshirt for his true freshman season last year.

DeBoskie won’t be eligible to play in 2015 if he remains at the FBS level, but would have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2016.
