Clemson WR Mike Williams suffers “small fracture” in neck area

Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a “small fracture” in his neck area, head coach Dabo Swinney revealed in his Sunday evening teleconference.

Of course, it’s only a “small fracture” when it’s not “your neck.”

The injury occurred on this scary looking play during the Tigers’ 49-10 win over Wofford on Saturday.

Swinney said he expects Williams to return to football soon, the Vance, S.C., native isn’t expected to miss any class time, but added, “whenever that is I have no idea.”

A junior, Williams was named a Second Team All-ACC performer in 2014 after leading the club with 1,030 yards and six touchdowns on 57 grabs.
