Four-star signee Chris Clark, top 2015 TE, no longer enrolled at UCLA

It appears that the speculation regarding Chris Clark‘s future is coming to fruition.

Over the past few of days, rumor had it that Clark was no longer a member of UCLA football team even as the coaching staff declined to address his status moving forward. An official announcement appears to be a mere formality, however, as the Orange County Register confirmed through the school’s Registrar’s Office that the tight end is no longer enrolled at the university.

The Register went on to write that "[a]UCLA spokesman confirmed that Clark was not enrolled in classes,” adding “UCLA’s fall academic quarter begins Monday.”

Clark played in the season opener but didn’t catch a pass. He didn’t travel with the team to last Saturday’s game against UNLV, which continued the speculation triggered by a since-deleted tweet last Thursday in which he claimed he was back in his hometown on the East Coast.

A four-star member of the Bruins’ 2015 recruiting class, Clark was rated as the No. 1 tight end in the country; the No. 2 player at any position in the state of Connecticut; and the No. 79 player overall according to Rivals.com. Clark chose UCLA over Michigan on signing day. The initial speculation is that he could end up at UM or Rutgers.
