Nick Chubb’s mom details injury (torn ligaments) on Facebook

Georgia running back Nick Chubb has a PCL tear and two torn ligaments, according to an update provided by Chubb’s mother, La’Velle, on Facebook Sunday morning.

“It’s not nearly as bad as it could’ve been,” Chubb’s mother said on her Facebook page. “They’ll wait for swelling to go down to decide when to have surgery.” She went on to say that could take up to two weeks, which would sure seem to mean the Georgia running back will be out of action for some time.

Chubb was injured right at the start of Saturday’s road loss at Tennessee. It was a nasty looking injury, which is always why we tend to fear the worst given recent history with college players, especially running backs.

Georgia has yet to share much information regarding Chubb just yet. When they do, we will update this information.
