Miami DT Michael Wyche charged in domestic violence incident

A week filled with turmoil and sadness for the Miami football program continues, with an off-field incident the latest distraction for the Hurricanes.

Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post is reporting that Michael Wyche was arrested Wednesday and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. The defensive lineman remains jailed in lieu of an unspecified bond.

No details of what led to the arrest and charge have been divulged. The school has since confirmed that Wyche has been indefinitely suspended from the program.

Wyche has played in four games this season. The lineman has recorded no statistics in his limited playing time.

After transferring to The U from the JUCO ranks last year, Wyche played in nine games. He totaled nine tackles and a half a sack.
