Alabama is known to have solid offensive line play. They now, officially, have the best center in the nation. Alabama center Ryan Kelly has been named the 2015 Rimington Trophy winner. The Rimington Trophy has been honoring college football’s top centers since 2000.
Kelly is Alabama’s second all-time Rimington Trophy winner. Barrett Jones won the award in 2012. Alabama is now tied with Michigan for most all-time Rimington Trophy winners, with two apiece. Michigan’s David Molk (2011) and David Baas (2004) are the two Wolverines to have won the award, which is presented by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
