Rutgers hires Toby Neinas as director of player personnel

Rutgers head coach Chris Ash has filled one more spot on his football staff as he takes on his first gig as a head coach. On Wednesday, Rutgers announced Ash has named Toby Neinas as director of player personnel. Neinas joins the Rutgers program after previously working at Colorado as the special teams coordinator.

In addition to a stint with Colorado, Neinas has also held a role at Montana State, New Mexico, San Diego State, Temple, UAB and North carolina dating back to 1995. Neinas held his first coaching job at his alma mater, Missouri, out of college as a graduate assistant. Neinas is the son of Chuck Neinas, a name that should sound familiar to some. Chuick Neinas is a former commissioner of the Big East Conference, former executive director of the College Football Association and chipped in for two years as an interim commissioner for the Big 12 Conference.
