Former Syracuse DB charged with stabbing two current Orange DBs

A rather disturbing story has emerged from Syracuse this Sunday morning.

According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, Former Syracuse defensive back Naesean Howard was arrested and charged Saturday evening for the alleged stabbing of two individuals. The two individuals who were stabbed? Current Orange defensive backs Chauncey Scissum (pictured, No. 21) and Corey Winfield.

No details of what led to the on-campus incident have been detailed.

Howard was officially charged with with two counts of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He has been indefinitely suspended from the university as he’s still enrolled as a student, two years after he “parted ways” with the football team.

The Post-Standard writes that Winfield is in stable condition, while Scissum’s condition is unclear. Both Scissum, a safety, and Winfield, a cornerback, were starters for the Orange in 2015.
