South Carolina suspends lineman charged with DUI

Once again, it’s time to reset a “Days Without An Arrest” ticker that was halfway to double digits back to double zeroes.

According to The State, South Carolina sophomore Christian Pellage was arrested and charged with first-offense DUI late last week. No details of what led to the charge have been made available.

As of right now, Pellage has been indefinitely suspended by Will Muschamp. The first-year Gamecock head coach also indicated that the offensive lineman is also facing at least a one-game suspension.

“He is going to miss some game time,” Muschamp said at the SEC Media Days Thursday. “I am working through all the details with Christian.”

As a freshman last season, Pellage played in 12 games, with most of that action coming on special teams. On the depth chart heading into summer camp, Pellage is listed as the No. 2 left guard.
