Ex-Miss. St. RB Josh Robinson claims Dan Mullen called police on him for trespassing

This is certainly new one. Or, at the least, a rare one.

Josh Robinson is a former Mississippi State running back who was a sixth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2015 NFL draft. Currently a free agent, Robinson is working out at his alma mater as he looks to continue his professional career.

Tuesday night, Robinson went on a run at MSU’s football complex and, via a series of social media postings, claimed that his former head coach, Dan Mullen, called the police on him for trespassing. And, according to Robinson, he actually received a citation courtesy of campus police.

I have been training with the team and took a night run which you have done numerous times on the fields.

For his part, Mullen denied being behind the call to the police. From the Jackson Clarion-Ledger:

The Clarion-Ledger asked Mullen if he was responsible and the head coach responded via, “Don’t even know what you’re talking about.”

When debriefed of the situation, Mullen said, “Ok. Well that didn’t happen.”

So, there you have it. Mullen didn’t call the cops. Or did. One of the two.
