WATCH: Tyrann Mathieu pays off LSU-Wisconsin bet with J.J. Watt

One of the biggest stories of the first full weekend of the college football season was Wisconsin’s upset of No. 5 LSU Saturday, which has now, not surprisingly, caused a bit of a stir at the professional level.

Tyrann Mathieu is a former LSU defensive back and current All-Pro with the Arizona Cardinals, while J.J. Watt is a former Wisconsin defensive lineman and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Apparently, the two made a bet regarding the outcome of the game involving their alma maters as Watt took to Twitter -- nice Judge Smails/Caddyshack GIF, J.J. -- shortly after the Badgers win to remind Mathieu of their agreement...

... with Mathieu taking to Twitter shortly thereafter to pay off his “debt” in the form of 100 pushups, which the defensive back had to divide into two separate tweets:

Now I had to split this up in sets 😂😂😂 @JJWatt I’m not strong like you pic.twitter.com/3ttwDbF9Ev

(Writer’s note: the most impressive part of that was the fact that Mathieu did it with a rat lurking around him.)

(Writer’s note, the sequel: I’ll let you judge the quality of the pushups.)
