Michigan State has kicked off its game against Wisconsin, and the Spartans did so without one of its defensive leaders.
Riley Bullough was not in uniform prior to the Big Ten opener and is not playing today against the Badgers. Just why Bullough is sidelined is unknown, and is a veritable mystery.
Bullough was listed on the team’s dress list and atop its pregame depth chart, but did not come out of the tunnel for warm-ups and was in street clothes when the team came out of the tunnel.
Bullough, the second-year starter and captain, finished the Notre Dame game and participated in postgame interviews without giving any indication he was injured.
A senior, Bullough is currently tied for the team lead in tackles with 12 after two games. His two tackles for loss are second on the team.
