Still hospitalized, WR Seth Collins won’t play for Beavers vs. Ducks in Civil War

An apparent non-football health issue will keep one very productive offensive member of the Oregon State football team out of its rivalry game this weekend.

After OSU returned from its Week 12 game against UCLA in Los Angeles, Seth Collins was hospitalized with an unspecified illness. Over a week later, Collins remains hospitalized in good condition.

Because of the issue, however, the starting wide receiver will not play in Saturday’s Civil War matchup with Oregon, the school has confirmed.

Collins is currently second on the Beavers with 36 receptions and 418 receiving yards.

Back in January, Collins abruptly announced his departure from the OSU football program. The decision seemingly centered around the coaching staff’s decision to move the then-quarterback to receiver. Three months later, Collins had a change of heart and returned to the Beavers at his new position.
