Iowa State player Baker Mayfielded flag on Oklahoma’s 50-yard line after upset win

Karma has proven that, once again, she’s just flat nasty.

After Oklahoma’s Week 2 win over Ohio State in Columbus, Baker Mayfield created quite the kerfuffle by running to midfield and “planting” an OU flag in the fake turf on the Horseshoe’s 50-yard line. The next day, Mayfield apologized, saying he “did not mean for it to be disrespectful toward Ohio State at all.”

After Week 6, expect another flag-related apology -- this one from a Mayfield opponent.

In Norman Saturday afternoon, Iowa State stunned Oklahoma by dropping the previously unbeaten Sooners 38-31. After the game, one Iowa State player, Evrett Edwards, gave Mayfield and the Sooners a taste of their own medicine.

And Mayfield’s response to his home turf getting Mayfielded?
