Over the past nine months, the extended Clemson football family has mourned the passing of a pair of former Tiger players.
C.J. Fuller passed away in October of last year of what was later determined to be a blood clot in the running back’s lung. Then, earlier this month, running back Tyshon Dye died in a drowning accident over the extended Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Xavier Kelly is a redshirt junior defensive end at Clemson who was teammates with both Dye and Fuller. As Kelly is also a talented artist, he grabbed his brushes, paint and canvas, paying tribute to his fallen teammates as part of the grieving process.
