Malik Henry has finally climbed out of Jimbo Fisher‘s doghouse.
A month ago, Fisher announced that he had indefinitely suspended Henry from his Florida State football program for violating unspecified team rules. Tuesday, the head coach confirmed that the quarterback has been reinstated.
Fisher also confirmed that, more than likely, Henry will be on the receiving end of a redshirt.
“He has a long way to go to get back in shape, get back to playing. Most likely he’ll redshirt unless something happens,” the coach said. “We’ll bring him along. We’ll see.”
Henry was a four-star 2016 recruit rated as the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the country. He enrolled early and participated in spring practice, joining a quarterback competition that included Deondre Francois and Sean Maguire.
Francois has started the first three games of the season for the Seminoles.
