Well this is certainly an unexpected — and unwelcome — development for the North Carolina State football program.
Saturday on his personal Twitter page, Bo Hines announced that he has decided to take his leave of the Wolfpack and transfer to an undetermined location. In a lengthy statement, the wide receiver said that he came to the decision “after many long hours of thought and prayer” and that he “must do what I believe is best for my future not only as a student-athlete, but also as a human being.”
Here’s Hines’ statement, in its entirety:
As a true freshman in 2014, Hines led the Wolfpack with 45 receptions for 616 yards.
A three-star member of NCSU’s 2014 recruiting class, Hines was rated as the No. 24 player at any position in the state of North Carolina. Coming out of high school in Charlotte, Hines held offers from, among others, Duke, East Carolina, Marshall, North Carolina, Nebraska and Ohio State.
