The fallout from a November on-campus brouhaha involving upwards of 15 Michigan State football players is continuing this morning as two additional players have been charged in connection to the incident, the Detroit Free Press is reporting.
Junior nose tackle Oren Wilson has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of assault or assault and battery, while wide receiver Myles White was charged with two counts of assault or assault and battery. The charges stem from the players allegedly doing a group Rambo raid on a campus fraternity potluck dinner.
13 players had already been charged following a police investigation, and the entire baker’s dozen were either suspended from the team or booted from the football program entirely.
Unlike the teammates who were identified before the Spartans’ bowl game, Wilson was able to play in the Alamo Bowl loss to Texas Tech.
Both players have been indefinitely suspended from the team by head coach Mark Dantonio.
“Oren Wilson and Myles White have been suspended indefinitely from all football-related activities,” Dantonio said in a statement. “As with the previously suspended players, their status with the team will be re-evaluated on a case-by-case basis as their legal issues are resolved.”
