Ex-Louisville coach in Aggies' sights

With one coach all but out the door, Mike Sherman might be looking to add a former college head coach to his Texas A&M staff, Tom Dienhart of Rivals.com is reporting.

According to Dienhart, former Louisville and Tulsa coach Steve Kragthorpe will interview with Sherman for a spot on the staff.

Given Kragthorpe's extensive past as an offensive coordinator, one would think the coach would be in line to replace Nolan Cromwell, the Aggies' current OC who is likely headed to the St. Louis Rams.  One would be wrong, according to Dienhart.

Rather than filling the coordinator vacancy -- if there ultimately is one -- Kragthorpe would instead become become a position coach.

In addition to his stints as a head coach, Kragthorpe was also an assistant from 1997-2000, serving as the coordinator during the final three years in College Station.
