Nate Montana officially transferring to, you guessed it, Montana

Nate Montana

So, go ahead. Let the jokes begin.

In an e-mail to the Associated Press Monday night, Montana athletic director Jim O’Day confirmed that Nate Montana was indeed admitted to the university and would be eligible to play this upcoming season.

Montana, a junior, played in three games last season, completing 50 percent of his passes for 116 yards and an interception.

Both of Notre Dame’s quarterbacks who saw significant playing time last season, Dayne Crist and Tommy Rees, will be returning for 2011.

Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier also had the Grizzlies on his short list of potential destinations before ultimately transferring to Miami.

    He won’t play unless Joe buys the griz the lights they need for their stadium, and since he was too stubborn to visit the town of “Joe, Montana” I’m thinking Nate won’t play. Go Griz.

    @coachemup14:

    Im kind of thinking Joe has more of an incentive to visit any and every town in Montana now. And when he arrives, I’m thinking all will be forgiven.

    Well, maybe not by you, but perhaps the other Grizzly faithful?

    What do you think?

    Go to egriz.com click on forums then click the link that says something along the lines of montana grizzlies football. Just read for about 5-10 minutes. A little bit from every post will do. Youll see that If nate does end up starting and doesnt win, no one will be forgiven! I actually dont care either way, i just want to see the griz play a a nat’l shipper before i graduate from this institution. However, the older dudes across the state will have joe, nate, and pflugrad hung if we miss the playoffs again. So what do i think? Best of luck to him, hes making the most of his opportinities. Go griz.
