Illini tackle re-injures knee, status uncertain for next season

Illinois offensive tackle Corey Lewis missed all of last season with a torn ACL he suffered in the Illini’s 2010 spring game.

Unfortunately for Lewis, the projected starter from a year ago has re-injured the same knee and underwent surgery to repair the ligament. No word has been given (yet) as to how Lewis re-injured the knee.

His status is uncertain for 2011, although coach Ron Zook is optimistic that he’ll play.
