Attaochu downgraded, likely out for Georgia Tech

For the second consecutive game, Georgia Tech will likely be without their best player on the defensive side of the ball.

Linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu suffered a lower-leg injury in a win over North Carolina State Oct. 1 and did not play last weekend. On the Yellow Jackets’ Thursday injury report, Attaochu is listed as doubtful for the upcoming game with Virginia.

Despite missing a game, Attaochu still leads the team in sacks (four) and tackles for loss (five).

While it’s unlikely one of Tech’s starting linebackers will play, it’s likely the Yellow Jackets will get another starter from the position back from injury. Daniel Drummond missed last weekend’s game as with a leg injury but has been medically cleared to play tomorrow.
