Yesterday, thousands of mourners gathered outside Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the campus of Penn State to pay their final respects to Joe Paterno, who passed away Sunday after a battle with lung cancer.
Today, hundreds more have gathered in the same spot for one final chance to say goodbye before the long-time coach is laid to rest this afternoon.
The doors at the PSC opened at around 7:40 a.m. -- some were waiting outside for up to three hours -- and will close at around noon. Then, the family will bury Paterno in a private ceremony.
Hopefully, they will be the only ones in attendance.
A public memorial is set for Thursday at the Bryce Jordan Center. The ticket allotment for that event was reportedly scooped up in under 10 minutes.
