Danny O’Brien will be limited in Terps spring practice

Spring questions for Maryland include: can the Terps adjust to new offensive coordinator Mike Locksley on offense, can the Terps adjust to new defensive coordinator Brian Stewart on defense and are the practice unis going to be as goofy as the real unis?

Also: what’s going on at quarterback? Danny O’Brien was the starter for Maryland at the start of 2011, but inconsistent play led to shared time with C.J. Brown before a broken non-throwing arm sidelined O’Brien toward the end of the season.

Randy Edsall hopes to get answers following a 2-10 inaugural year, but the quarterback battle will be one to watch carefully, especially with O’Brien recovering from his injury. Edsall said today he expects both quarterbacks to be back for the 2012 season with “some concern from a contact standpoint,” for O’Brien "...but they don’t get hit in spring anyhow.”

You can read Edsall’s Q&A via the Washington Post HERE. The only other real notable roster news of interest is that lineman Pete DeSouza -- scooter boy -- has given up football and will be a student assistant to the team.
