Jerry Sandusky requesting more testimonies from grand jury

As former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky and his lawyer, Joe Amendola, prepare for trial, the defense is continuing to ask for documents important to the case.

A week ago, Amendola requested a document that would allow Sandusky to learn the names of the 10 alleged victims accusing Sandusky of sexual abuse along with other details about alleged incidents. Now, Sandusky is requesting more grand jury testimonies that the attorney general intends to use in calling witnesses to testify.

The motion seeking those transcripts was filed Monday.

Sandusky is scheduled for a Friday hearing where the former coach plans to demand more details about the allegations against him. The hearing will also address Sandusky’s request to see his grandchildren. Neighbors of Sandusky have asked for tighter restrictions on Sandusky’s house arrest.

Prosecutors in the case have requested that jurors be selected from an outside county, a move that Amendola, as you would imagine, plans to fight.
