Rutgers reportedly picks up a RB coach

Following the departure of running backs coach Ben Sirmans to the St. Louis Rams, Rutgers has reportedly filled one of the two vacancies on its coaching staff.

The Newark Star-Ledger reports, citing a source close to the program, that former Columbia head coach and UConn offensive coordinator Norries Wilson will coach RB’s for the Scarlet Knights. Wilson is expected to start tomorrow and an official announcement could be coming soon.

Wilson held a 17-43 record in his six years at Columbia. If the hire comes to fruition, a special teams coordinator will be the only remaining job opening at Rutgers.
