Ex-Husker RB will transfer to TCU

Not long after it was announced that running back Aaron Green would be leaving Nebraska, it appears the Texas native will land much closer to home.

Green confirmed on his Twitter account that he would be transferring to TCU, which enters its first year in the Big 12.

“I will be finishing my Football career at Texas Christian University AKA TCU!! In Dallas/Ft.Worth Texas. Go TCU !!! Go #Frogs” Green said.

It was previously believed that Green would end up with a Big 12 school.

Green was a four-star recruit (Rivals.com) from San Antonio Texas who signed with the Huskers in 2011 and finished fifth on the team with 105 yards and pair of touchdowns. He should have to sit out a season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, leaving a nice cushion between him and the Horned Frogs’ upperclassmen-laden backfield.
