Buckeyes dismiss Storm Klein following domestic violence charge

Just like that, Storm Klein has seen his career at Ohio State come to an abrupt and unceremonious end — at least for the time being.

Less than a day after the Buckeyes linebacker was charged in connection to a domestic violence incident, the school announced Saturday evening that the player “has been dismissed from the Ohio State football team by head coach Urban Meyer.”  The dismissal, the release stated, was a result “of actions that led to his arrest Friday on charges of domestic violence and assault.”

In a statement, however, the first-year coach did leave the door for a return slightly ajar.

“The charges filed against Storm Klein violate the core values of the Ohio State Football Program,” Meyer said. “As a result, Storm has been removed from the team. It has been made very clear that this type of charge will result in dismissal. If there are any changes in the charges, we will re-evaluate his status.”

Klein, a three-year letterman who would’ve been entering his senior season at the school, played in 38 games and started 10 times at middle linebacker last year.  As the release noted, he was limited in practice this spring because of some minor injuries, and subsequently came out of those drills listed as a back-up at middle linebacker.

At Auburn, Miami or Penn State he would have had to run a lap for his punishment.

He was probably trying to get away from the bitch. I’ll wait for the details before I hang the kid, Meyer has a strict no tolerance policy. This wont be the last OSU dismissal we see this year. LOL

    Change in charges?

Oh, you mean like that one time at Florida when Urban Liar leaned on that impound lot owner who just happened to be a big-time Gator booster… you mean THAT kind of change in chargers, Urb?

You gonna lean on Klein’s girl like you leaned on Time To Die Bitch!’s girl?

According to Klein’s attorney, a former girlfriend showed up unannounced at Storm’s apartment and wanted to talk about their failed relationship. When it didn’t go well she started a ruckus and Klein put his arms around her, forced her outside and locked her out. She got scratches on her arms and bumped her head on the door. She then pressed charges.

Sounds like there is more to come on this story and attorney thanked OSU for leaving the door open and felt the situation will change when the facts are out in the open.

Wtf u think his lawyer is going to say. As someone who unfortunately has lost his temper with women. Completely believable that he threw her out of his place after bouncing off the wall. If he puts his hands on her there was anger behind it

Bobby Bowden was famous for making arrestees run stadium stairs. Miami would bounce his ass.

Its a fact that most domestic charges these days come from these insane chicks instigating trouble, starting it, then calling the cops out of spite. This is classic.

Its a shame that jerkoff Meyer, who I once had respect for, tossed him off the team without hearing all the facts.

Get a grip son, SHE filed an restraining order against the Young man. W.T.F. is she doing back at his place?

All bets are off till this plays out in court. That bitch was freaking out that she wont be a wife of a potential N.F.L. player. That leaves her out for : A big new house, Fancy car, Teeth, hair, nails and a boob job. Of course she came over to drum this up.

Look for the charges to be dropped and for Klein to be reinstated and convert to being a eunuch. She had NO business being at his domicile whatsoever.

Oh yeah if Meyer dismisses him it must be bad

Hope this doesn’t get Urb all stressed out…you know, with his health issues and all.

Sad sad sad!!! I think Urban took the right step given the severity of the offense at this point in time. He took immediate action but left the door open in case this turns out to be a false revenge filing on the part of his ex.

Either way, Storm, I wish you all the best of luck and hope you are able to recover from this entire incident

UGA and OSU are the poster childs for THUG University honors. Only difference is that OSU fans are in denial and a little bit slower in understanding phenomena and events.

@ghengy… Meyer has a no tolerance policy? Since when? Please check the police blotter during his watch at Florida…

  14. vincentbojackson says: Jul 8, 2012 8:30 AM

He’ll plead out to a lesser charge, pay a small fine and be back on the team by August.

Urb knows how this works, that’s why he’s pretending to take a hard line here. There’s no such thing as “zero tolerance” in college football.

  15. takingbovadasmoney says: Jul 8, 2012 12:24 PM

    BO knows Urban!

  16. surly1n1nd1anapol1s says: Jul 8, 2012 4:41 PM

Meyer did NOT have a no tolerance policy at Florida.

  17. rickrock6661982 says: Jul 8, 2012 10:26 PM

If Klein was one of Urban’s recruits, he would have received a slap on the wrist.

  18. ghengy says: Jul 9, 2012 2:22 PM

I’m fully aware of Meyer’s tenure at Florida, I’m a Tennessee fan living in enemy territory so every arrest was cause for celebration.

However, its a different deal with him at OSU. And you whiners need a reality check. Klein will be exonerated, and all you sissies crying foul will all look like idiots. Sorry. LOL
