The big story last week in Kansas State’s 44-30 win over Oklahoma State was the injury to quarterback and Heisman trophy candidate Collin Klein. The injury has been well-kept secret by Bill Snyder for the most part, and Klein’s playing status for today’s game against TCU is officially still up in the air.
But another quarterback was injured in last week’s game too -- Oklahoma State’s Wes Lunt. The freshman missed most of the second half with an apparent head injury. The injury is bad enough that Lunt won’t start today against West Virginia -- that distinction will go to Clint Chelf -- although the season-opening starter will be available if needed, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad.Oklahoma State will start junior quarterback Clint Chelf against West Virginia with Wes Lunt available

Lunt’s already missed three games this season with a knee injury he suffered against Louisiana-Lafayette. His backup, J.W. Walsh, is out indefinitely with a knee injury of his own.
Chelf played sparingly this season before coming in for Lunt against the Wildcats last weekend, where he threw for 233 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Despite the QB injuries, Oklahoma State has still managed to put up over 2,800 yards passing and 18 touchdowns on the season.
