Kentucky offensive lineman T.J. Jones won’t have a chance to make an impact for the Wildcats and first-year coach Mark Stoops in 2013.
A university spokesperson told Kentucky Sports Radio that Jones had been dismissed from the team with the only reason being the universal “violation of team rules.” Therefore, whether the boot is related to Jones’ December arrest on a weapons charge is unclear. Jones allegedly brought a gun into his former high school.
Jones redshirted in 2012 and did not see any playing time. He is the ninth player to leave the program, whether through transfer or dismissal, since Stoops arrived in Lexington.
