Four-star 2013 Duck signee facing harassment charges

Shortly after the departure of Chip Kelly for the Philadelphia Eagles, there was some initial drama as to whether Tyree Robinson -- one-half of the highly-recruited Robinson twins -- would follow through and turn his Oregon verbal into a Duck signing.

While both followed through on Signing Day, some semblance of drama remains.

According to KEZI-TV, and by way of The Oregonian, Tyree Robinson is facing physical harassment charges following an on-campus incident over the weekend. The incident involved Robinson and a 19-year-old female, the latter who was allegedly “slapped... a couple of times” by the former.

The station’s website wrote that “Robinson was issued a citation in lieu of custody for physical harassment” following the incident.

An arraignment for Robinson on the charges has been set for July 30.

Tyree Robinson was a four-star member of the Ducks’ 2013 recruiting class, rated by Rivals.com as the No. 6 athlete in the country and the No. 16 player at any position in the state of California.

His twin brother, Tyrell Robinson, was rated as the No. 5 athlete in the country and the No. 15 player at any position in the state of California. He was also a four-star member of UO’s 2013 recruiting class.
