C.J. Brown officially out for Terps vs. Virginia

Listed as doubtful late in the week, C.J. Brown has officially been sidelined for today’s ACC matchup.

Maryland confirmed shortly before kickoff that the starting quarterback will not play against Virginia due to a head injury. Brown suffered a concussion in the blowout loss to Florida State a week ago.

Brown warmed up with the Terps prior to the game, but it was decided it was in the player’s best interest to sit this one out.

With Brown down and out, Caleb Rowe will get the start for the Terps. This season, the sophomore has thrown 24 passes. Last season, Rowe played in two games as a true freshman before he became the last of a staggering four Maryland quarterbacks who suffered season-ending injuries in a span of two months.
