Keith Price won’t throw again until Thursday

Whether or not Washington’s loss to UCLA will bleed into subsequent weekends won’t be known until later on this week.

Keith Price suffered an injury to his right (throwing) shoulder late in the second quarter of the loss to the Bruins Friday night. After attempting to throw shortly before the start of the second half, the starting quarterback was shutdown for the remainder of the game.

Sunday, the Seattle Times reported, head coach Steve Sarkisian said Price will not be permitted to throw again until Thursday. At that point, the coaching and medical staff should be able to better gauge the senior’s availability for Saturday’s game at Oregon State.

Price has started 25 straight games for the Huskies dating back to the 2011 season, and has started 36 games in his career.

If Price is not healthy enough for the Beavers, the Huskies would turn to Cyler Miles under center. Miles, who would be making his first career start, replaced the injured Price and completed 15-of-22 passes for 149 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Prior to that, the freshman had attempted 10 passes all season.
