Former Gator Ian Silberman reportedly lands at Louisville

One of the handful of Florida Gators who have left the program in recent days has reportedly settled on his new football home.

Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun is reporting that offensive lineman Ian Silberman will be transferring to Louisville. Cardinals head coach Charlie Strong served as the Gators’ defensive coordinator for Silberman’s first couple of seasons in Gainesville.

Because Silberman will have graduated from UF, the lineman will be eligible to play immediately in 2014. Louisville has yet to confirm Silberman’s addition to the roster.

The past two years, Silberman started seven games at guard for the Gators.

In other Florida transfer news, Andreu is also reporting that quarterback Tyler Murphy, who surprised head coach Will Muschamp with his decision to leave over the weekend, is considering Louisville as well as Boston College. However, the school -- or, more specifically, Muschamp -- would block those moves, Andreu tweeted.
