Dismissed Texas Tech player could face felony charges

Being dismissed from Texas Tech was only the start for former cornerback Nigel Bethel II. Accused of punching a Texas Tech women’s basketball player in the face, Bethel now faces felony assault charges, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Over the weekend Texas Tech dismissed Bethel, a promising young cornerback, following reports of an incident involving he and Amber Battle. According to reports, Bethel punched Battle in the face during a basketball game at the school’s recreation center. Texas Tech confirmed police on campus were investigating the details of the incident.

That investigation yielded a one-page report stating the attack involved “hands, fists, feet, etc.” The police report accuses Bethel of “causing serious bodily injury.” Battle reportedly needed surgery following the attack. Bethel was released from custody with charges from the Lubbock County district attorney’s office pending.

He should! Just because he’s talented doesn’t mean he should get off easy.

Tech players don’t have the stroke like the players at the University of Texas do. Longhorn football players can assault fellow tennis players and the cops will never file charges.

I thought Johnny Manziel was the troublemaker??

I love all the people trying to make Manziel a martyr on totally unrelated articles… It’s the definition of no life.

Make sure that he is kicked out of school, with a note from the school president, that he is not welcomed back, is spite of what the football coach says.
What was his declared major ? Pre-law/Criminal Justice or Pre-NFL no courses required ?

Bethel is 5-8, 168 according to Rivals. He mushed out someone bigger than him (Battle is listed at 5-9, TT doesn’t list weight on their wymyn’s roster) during a basketball game. You can go to any rec center in the nation and find a fight daily.

Is Bethel receiving trumped up charges because Battle doesn’t have a penis? Wymyn wanted to be treated as equal but no no no no you can’t touch one, even when they’re bigger and older.

Bet the young lady was lighting the little man up and he couldn’t take it.

Oh, Bethel is still a scumbag and will probably pick a fight with a goon in Miami who empties a clip.

Bethel in jail or dead by 21.

It’s getting tiring hearing about athletes beating up women…I hope no one gives this loser a scholarship to play football again

So Ms. Battle caught herself a month-long suspension because she swung on Bethel first.

I guess if you have a cock you’re not allowed to defend yourself. Battle put hands on someone smaller than her and got mollywhopped for it.

Double standards in this country are sickening.

If you have no penis feel free to
Punch and kick someone who does

The DA will always charge the person
    With the penis!
