On social media, Justin Combs thanks his P. Daddy

Well this is certainly an interesting development in a story that’s had myriad ones over the last 24 hours.

By now you know the drill: hip-hop mogul Sean Combs was involved in an altercation with a UCLA assistant, strength coach Sal Alosi, in the Bruins football offices Monday and was ultimately arrested on multiple charges. The confrontation occurred after Combs’ son, UCLA defensive back Justin Combs, was kicked out of a workout session by Alosi Monday, then scurried home to complain to his famous father.

Combs, through a spokesperson, claimed “any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.” It appears that his son has taken his dad’s side in the situation as the player took to Instagram to publicly thank his father for being there for him.

The younger Combs is a redshirt junior cornerback who has played in just seven games the past two seasons. It’ll be interesting to see how the UCLA coaching staff handles the player’s stance in supporting the individual, father or not, who allegedly triggered a chaotic scene in their building -- and allegedly assaulted at least two staffers, one with a piece of weightlifting equipment, in the process.
