Will Grier to get second straight start at QB for Gators

For the second week in a row, Florida’s hitching their offensive horse to a young gun, at least initially.

Not surprisingly, UF announced Thursday that Will Grier will get the start at quarterback for Saturday night’s SEC opener against Kentucky in Lexington. It will mark the second start of the redshirt freshman’s career -- his first was the Week 2 win over East Carolina -- and first on the road.

Despite Grier starting, Treon Harris who started the season-opening win over New Mexico State, is once again expected to play, although the amount could very well depend on well Grier functions in a “hostile” environment.

In his two games, Grier has completed 26-for-35 passes for 317 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Harris, meanwhile, is 19-for-27 for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
